Our Philosophy
Here at Seed and Sprout we aim to provide a high-quality play-based learning environment for ages 16-months to 4-years-old. Our program will support each child’s individuality through a holistic teaching approach, that allows children to be innovative and independent, learning from the world around them. We have created a safe environment for children to develop their motor functions, social-emotional and cognitive skills through meaningful exploration and discovery. Educators at Seed and Sprout are facilitators and mentors excited to guide children through their developmental journey.
The space that children will indulge in indoor play, is designed as an open floor plan that allows children to freely choose what provided materials to play with to satisfy their curiosity. Teachers will model and teach appropriate and respectful language to use while children interact with one another, and act as a mentor in this child-centered environment. Our outdoor space will include a mud kitchen and other parts of nature for children to explore and expand their knowledge and problem-solving skills.
The idea at Seed and Sprout is that influencing a child’s development is done through their perception, physical anatomy, neurological consciousness, valued enlightenment, experiences in opportunity, and emotional connections. As education facilitators we must accept all things nature gives children and nurture it through teaching them to develop empathy and self-efficacy, to lead our future generations in an ethical and logical way.
